We are the only all-girls, Catholic, college-preparatory, private school for Grades 1–12, with a co-ed program for Pre-K through Kindergarten, located in Bethesda, Maryland, serving the Washington metropolitan area.

The Preschool and Kindergarten program at Stone Ridge is a joyful and engaging environment where children actively involve both their hearts and minds in learning. Designed to meet the developmental needs of young learners, the program emphasizes purposeful play, inquiry-based exploration, and a strong foundation in both academic and social-emotional growth.

Lower School

All-girls, Grades 1-4

Our child-centered elementary school curriculum allows students to explore concepts from multiple perspectives through authentic inquiry. Stone Ridge’s Lower School guides students through the process of coming to know themselves, cultivating a joy for learning, making wise choices, and understanding their gifts and their responsibilities in our world as a child of the Sacred Heart.

Middle School

All-girls, Grades 5-8

Middle School is a time of transition for our girls. They begin to discover their interests and their potential to take on the world. Our faculty and programs cultivate their enthusiasm at every turn, encouraging students to explore new ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Our program uniquely serves girls with a hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum as they navigate new landscapes of learning.

High School

In the Upper School, our girls master a rigorous curriculum and immerse themselves into a rich array of co-curricular and servant leadership experiences. Our academic program across all divisions is founded upon our mission: to inspire young women to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, intellect, community, social action, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
